Most of the time "ll" (called "doble ele") is expressed similarly to the letter "y" in English (like the "ye" from the English word "yes", or "ya" from the English word "yacht"). Sometimes it can sound like the English "ja" as in "jar" or like the English "ge", as in "gemstone".
